People often ask...

What happens after a Private ADHD assessment?

We’ll talk you through your results and offer guidance about next steps, whether that’s exploring support strategies, speaking to your GP, or something else. If a diagnosis is made and medication is appropriate, we can help coordinate onward care including our private titration service or therapy options.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly with us, with no GP referral needed.

Are ADHD assessments only for children?

Not at all. Many adults come to us later in life, often after years of wondering or feeling overlooked. We work with people of all ages.

Do you offer ADHD assessments through Right to Choose?

Yes. Find out more about Right to Choose here.

How does an in-person assessment differ to an online assessment?

An in-person assessment will take place at our London Clinic on Wimpole Street. For our online assessments, you'll be sent a link to access a Zoom meeting at a time that is convenient for you. Whichever you choose, we'll ensure you're given adequate time to feel prepared and you'll also be sent our pre-assessment guide which will give you all the information you need in advance.

Will a private diagnosis be accepted by my GP and employer?

Yes. Our private assessments follow clinical best practice and include a detailed report you can share with your GP, employer or university, if you choose.

Can I still have ADHD if I did well in school or work?

Yes. Many people with ADHD develop strategies to compensate, often at the cost of stress or burnout. Doing well in certain areas doesn’t rule out a diagnosis.
